松居和以松居庆子的丈夫与合作伙伴为人所知。他默默的与Porcupine公司和他自己公司其他人一起工作，逐渐成为该领域最让人感兴趣的录音棚技术师。他1991年首长专辑《Sign of the Snow Crane》略展他的尺八吹奏技艺，但没有他其它专辑那样炙手可热。《Wheels of the Sun》更胜一筹，富有节奏和旋律感。在制作中，他想到了办法，找到心思细腻的布鲁斯-摇滚吉他手David Lindley来平衡尺八充满灵气的美感。
